WHERE the
dust SETTLES
A short documentary about the lost people of rural Texas that make up the backbone and heart of our country. Engage with the people who stay — not because they have to, but because this place is part of who they are.
ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Setting
The People
Set in rural East Texas, this film captures the quiet rhythms of small-town life. We found people where they were; a motel, the side of a highway, the kitchen of a rural farm. Each story told from the perspective of the landscape they indwell.
The Vision
We began this project as a way to capture the rhythm of what we used to call home. It quickly evolved into a entertaining portrait of forgotten people. Rural communities with voices just as entertaining as a narrative film. We let the story tell itself, and found a beautiful narrative of fulfillment in places you wouldn't expect.
There's no editing here. It’s a portrait of real people and landscapes, told with honesty and respect; roadkill included. We asked real people real questions, and they gave us honest responses. These individuals and families have no outlet, and they deserve to be seen.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Where It's At
Production on this documentary is currently underway. More than half of the runtime has been shot and temp edited, and at this stage we are simply looking for the ability to wrap out production.
What We Need
$10,000 USD is the remaining production budget required to get this project across the finish line. With post-production included, this budget would successfully yield a fully realized, marketable asset.
What You Get
With sponsorship of this documentary we would include your brand in the opening production partnership scroll, as well as addition in any-and-all marketing materials; therefore driving audiences to your brand through every avenue the production clears.
Branded Content
Branded content is a way to market your company through an asset that reflects brand values in the place of overt marketing.
This documentary would be the perfect asset to take on brand partners to produce a vision that calls audiences back to the product/brand.
